Let’s make art…

I work with children at schools & art centers and take great pride and joy in creating engaging, playful workshops for them. In addition to designing classes and art projects inspired by my books, I’ve also developed workshops exploring a diverse range of fun and creative ideas. Examples of this include the construction of giant and miniature food sculptures, art inspired by Harry Potter spells, masterpieces made from recycling, and the invention of brand new animal species!

Influenced by my background in creating scripted art projects for children’s televisions whos such as Mister Maker, Blue Peter, Makeaway Takeaway, and Blippi, each project is broken into stages and within each stage is the opportunity for experimentation and discovery. It’s my goal to strike a balance between process-based learning and directional instruction, and I’ve found this framework results in work that students are not only tremendously proud of but have a great time creating.

I run workshops both locally and nationally, by arrangement. To discuss me coming to your art center or school, please contact me here.
